Our Key Population Toll-free Helpline based in Gqeberha is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to MSM (Men who have Sex with Men) and TG (Transgender) populations as part of our HIV, TB, and STI prevention and treatment services. This helpline is an essential component of our holistic approach to addressing the unique challenges faced by these communities. 

Beyond Zero is committed to rolling out HIV comprehensive services to MSM and TG populations. As part of this commitment, we have established a helpline centre in Gqeberha. This centre aims to address the social determinants of health and individual risk factors that contribute to the vulnerability of clients to HIV, TB, and STI. Our services are designed to provide holistic support, improve mental health, and enhance the effectiveness of HIV prevention interventions. 

Implementation Modality

Our helpline centre operates out of Gqeberha with a dedicated ensuring the following happens: 

COMMUNICATION FACILITATION

Coordinating between operational district teams, clients, and their families.

INTAKE AND ASSESSMENT

Completing intakes and assessments for newly diagnosed HIV+ clients.

INTERVENTIONS AND REFERRALS

Offering appropriate interventions and referrals based on client needs.

PSYCHOSOCIAL HISTORY

Providing counselling and psychosocial support to clients and their families.

HUMAN RIGHTS & ADVOCACY

Recording and addressing any human rights violations.

FOLLOW-UP ON REFERRALS

Ensuring clients receive optimal care through follow-ups.

CLIENT EDUCATION

Educating clients and their families about treatment and coping strategies.

THERAPY SERVICES

Providing therapy for clients dealing with various concerns, including
