Human Right & Advocacy
Human Rights & Advocacy Programme
Beyond Zero’s Human Rights and Advocacy (HRA) Programme is designed to address and eliminate human rights-related barriers to HIV and TB services in South Africa. The programme aims to ensure that key and vulnerable populations (KVPs) have access to necessary health services without facing stigma, discrimination, or human rights violations.
Beyond Zero launched #BeyondSilence Human Rights Campaign, implemented in eight (8) provinces aimed at addressing gender-based violence (GBV), discrimination, and promoting human rights, equality, and eliminate stigma within the context of HIV, AIDS, and TB. This campaign serves as a catalyst for open conversations, awareness campaigns and advocacy.
The campaign strives to empower Key and Vulnerable Populations (KVP) by ensuring that they have unhindered access to healthcare, protection of their human rights, and the opportunity to enjoy social well-being. In the process, it contributes to forging an environment where no one is left behind in the national response to HIV and TB, ultimately contributing to the end of these epidemics.
