Beyond Zero Key Population Hub Demand Creation Campaign in Bloemfontein

On Friday 14 June 2024 Beyond Zero Key Population hub demand creation team was out at  the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Rocklands, Bloemfontein,  participating in the Youth day  campaign that brought together diverse organizations and educational institutions, including TVET colleges. The event aimed to raise awareness and promote essential services for key populations in a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.

Young people attending the event buzzed with excitement as community members, organizations, and educational institutions converged  at the key Population hub stall . The key pop hub showcased the  services and support on offer  key population including the call centre.

Activities were diverse, ranging from spirited soccer matches that brought together local talent and community spirit, to interactive sessions where organizations like ours distributed Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials. These materials served as a comprehensive guide to our services, acting as a beacon for those seeking support and information.

Our presence at the event was marked by enthusiasm and dedication to informing and supporting attendees. As a part of the “one-stop shop” approach, we meticulously explained our services, ensuring clarity and understanding among those interested. It was heartening to witness the genuine interest and appreciation from attendees who were amazed by the breadth and depth of support we offered.

From healthcare provisions to advocacy and support networks, our organization’s commitment to serving key populations was evident. The engagement allowed us not only to inform but also to build trust and rapport within the community, fostering a sense of reliability and accessibility for our services. The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive. Many expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn about our services firsthand and engage directly with our team members. The event not only raised awareness but also empowered individuals to seek the support they need without hesitation or stigma.

Furthermore, the collaboration with other organizations and educational institutions, including TVET colleges, highlighted the collective effort towards supporting key populations.
